This is a power-off braking electromagnetic brake. It locks the rotating shaft by spring force when power cuts off; the electromagnet pulls the armature to release the friction disc once energized, allowing free rotation. Compact size, fast response and stable braking torque make it an ideal matching component for brushed DC motors, reduction gearboxes and small linear lifting actuators.
